Sweet & Sour Tofu
Ingredients:
6 tbsp Cornstarch
2 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
4 tbsp Vinegar (Dark or Rice)
Cooking Oil
Steps:
Cut tofu into cubes (about 2cm x 2cm). Add about 5 tbsp cornstarch and coat the tofu.
Mix sugar, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, water, and remaining corn starch into a bowl. Mix well, making sure there are no cornstarch lumps.
3. Heat the wok to medium heat. When it’s hot, add oil, then add the tofu. Pan fry until both sides are golden. (*The tofu might stick together because of the cornstarch, separate them carefully with a spatula or chopsticks when frying.)
4. Add sauce to the wok.
5. Let the sauce cook for about 5 mins until it has thickened.
6. Add the fried tofu back to the wok and mix with the sauce. Coat the fried tofu with the sauce and serve!
